All GEared Up and Nowhere to Go
Steampunk Pirate Festival


The Vermillion Area Arts Council invites all artists worldwide to submit work to the upcoming digital exhibition: All Geared Up and Nowhere to Go. The VAAC will host this juried exhibition on their website in place of the Steampunk Pirate Festival for 2020. All steampunk and pirate themed submissions will be considered. Entires can include artwork, costumes, or inventions. There is no entry fee to participate in this show.

To submit your work to the All Geared Up and Nowhere to Go exhibition, photograph your work and post it on Instagram. For the caption, write “[Title of the work] created by [your full name]” and use the following two hashtags: #vermillionareaartscouncil and #steampunkpiratefestival. The opportunity opens on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, which is September 19. The last day to enter is September 30, 2020. This exhibition will be juried by Aaron C. Packard and Klaire A. Lockheart.

Guidelines
  • All submissions must be steampunk or pirate themed
  • Artwork, costumes, and inventions will be considered for the exhibition
  • No hateful, misogynistic, or racist imagery will be accepted
 
Submission
  • Post photographs of your entries on Instagram
  • Caption your submission with “[Title of the work] created by [your full name]”
  • Use the following hashtags: #vermillionareaartscouncil and #steampunkpiratefestival
  • You may submit up to 5 entries
